In 2008, Ms. Griffith received a Bachelor of Arts degree in African American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. After obtaining her BA, she pursued numerous opportunities providing supplemental educational services through tutoring, mentoring, program assisting and program coordination for schools in the Ontario-Montclair Unified School District, Upland Unified School District, and Los Angeles Community College District. In 2013, Ashley received a Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling with a focus in higher education from California State University, Bakersfield. She has worked as a Student Services Specialist for the South Orange Community College District. Currently, she serves as the Director of Student Equity for Cypress College in the North Orange Community College District. In addition, Ms. Griffith is pursuing an Ed. D. in Educational Leadership at California State University, Long Beach.
The Equity Ally Project will train and educate campus personnel on working with a diverse student population, and help the former gain a greater understanding of the challenges that these students face. The various trainings will inform ally members on best practices for communicating with and assisting students from our various student populations.
